I've been doing this a looong time. You are in the company of one of the 'original' Photoshop brush makers. I graduated in design and surface pattern in 1993, but then spent the next few years bumming around by the seaside and not getting 'a proper job'. I think i first started properly messing around with Photoshop in 1999 while i was living in Brighton and working as a window dresser. So that would have been Photoshop 5.5 on disc. There were no YouTube tutorials back then; I had a copy of Photoshop for Dummies to teach me how to do my drop shadows, bevels and Y2K designs.

Things moved on, and over the next few years I transitioned to doing full time freelance design and illustration. In 2005 I also started giving away free Photoshop brushes on deviant art. They proved so incredibly popular that I began this blog and shop, which has been running ever since. I still love my work just as much as I ever did, and have enjoyed watching and keeping up with new advances in software and tech. Including, of course, Procreate! Which as we all know is truly incredible. And AI.. well, I'm on the fence, but embracing it all the same.
